About Viper Series Bags

Viper debuted in September of 2019 and cornhole was never the same. The bag became so soft and slithered into the hole like no other bag. The 2 fabrics chosen were a perfect combination resulting in higher PPRs than had ever been seen. Viper has since become the foundation for so many copies and variations. They say copying is the sincerest form of flattery but for Ultra, it has driven us to continue to innovate and improve. The Viper fast side is the unifying factor in all Viper Series bags. It provides a controllable fast side that pushes through bags and collects bags like nothing else. Viper Series bags start off pretty similar but changes to fabrics, templates, and fill has created a family of bags that can be used together to dominate in any condition. 

With 7 different Viper Series bags, there is a bag for almost any player. Each Viper model has the same fast side. The Viper fast side is a versatile fabric with a speed of about 8, depending on break-in and age/dirtiness. This fabric is combined with 4 different slow sides and 3 different templates to create 7 different bag models. We use 2 different fills in the Viper Series as well. Ultra Viper Series Bags:

• Viper is the Original. It’s one of the first fast/fast bags with an 8/6 speed rating. The OG “Series” Viper moved the game into a new style and era. Running bags became much, much easier. The control dots on the Viper were revolutionary at the time.
  
• Viper-B was the 3rd Viper variant. The fast side is paired with a slow side that has great bite. The B indicated it was great for blocking. The Viper-B is the slowest Viper model.
• Viper-R followed the OG Viper in revolutionizing the game. The Viper-R was the first bag to use hybrid-carpet on the slow side. This material reduces kick and helps bags travel more straight and true up the board. The 8/5 speed combo really made Viper-R the most versatile bag. The slow side now great for blocking with the fast side perfect for slipping though and gape or pushing through even the best blocks. Top players have noted how the Viper-R can help players with throws that are not perfect increase their PPR.
• Viper-RS is one of 2 variations of the Viper-R. Players get the best features of the Viper-R in a the smallest template legally allowed. To retain the drip and feel in this small template, the fill is upgraded to our Tribrid fill. This blend uses 3 pellets. The new glass pellet helps keep the bag the same thickness as a regular Viper-R while still meeting weight requirements. This helps the bag retain the signature Viper-R drip in a small template. It’s a great bag for players who can shape shots and are looking for a tighter template.
• Next up is the Viper-RV. For many this is the sweet spot. A mid-sized template allows the RV to play more like the Viper-R but with a smaller template that is easier to manipulate. It’s not as small as the RS. This makes the bag a little easier to block with and collect with. The Tribrid fill gives it a prefect feel. Our Pro players have all started to favor the RV vs the regular R.
• Viper-X replaces the hybrid carpet slow side with the nearly as popular herringbone fabric. The herringbone slow side is super reactive to bag tilts and angles. The Viper-X is a touch slower at 8/4 compared the the Viper-R variants. It’s awesome for players looking to play for hole position and then work shots around, over, and through blocks. The Viper-X comes in the classic Ultra template which some consider on the larger side. Players like Devon Harbaugh have utilized Viper-X to win multiple Opens.
• Viper-XS is similar to the Viper-X but in out mid-sized template. It also uses the Tribrid fill. This makes the bag even a little more reactive to tilts and angles. If you play an aggressive cut and roll game, the Viper-XS is the perfect bag for you.
