The Flat bag is fundamentally the form you want when playing cornhole. Once you achieve a flat bag you can begin to experiment with various tilts and angles to achieve other shots. “The flat bag is the foundation for all of that” notes Tscherne.

Eric Tscherne is entering his 4th year on the American Cornhole League‘s Pro Tour. He finished 2023 ranked 122nd in Singles and 57th in Doubles with ACL Pro Ty Lopez. Both were improvements on his previous final rankings. Tscherne finished up 4th in California’s rankings for 2023. This is Tscherne’s 5th season with Ultra. Tscherne lives in Encinitas, California and has been throwing Ultra Bags since he started playing competitive cornhole in 2016. Eric’s weapon of choice is the Ultra Viper-R. He says it is a versatile bag that can be used to race or play a block and shoot game. Either strategy he notes works best when you are throwing a flat bag.
