The venerable Psycho is back for the 2026 ACL season, and it’s totally different. The 2026 Psycho Ultra Bags drop the “Speed Control Dots” in favor of a new slow side fabric. The new slow side means the bag will break-in much quicker while the bag retains the same speeds and flex it’s been known for!
Control Dots: Ultra’s revolutionary speed control dots were introduced first on the original Viper in 2019. At the time, this speed control tech helped players control the much faster and more flexible fabrics that were taking over the game. Fast forward to 2025 and those same dots now are less necessary. Players often preferred to get their dots well worn in order to get their bags performing more consistently. This took time that no accelerated break-in method could address.
With Psycho, the original bag used the same fabric on both sides, along with control dots on the slow side to give it 2 speeds: Fast and Faster. This was the OG Fast/Fast bag and quickly became popular with players who liked to hole race and those with softer tosses. Many players still like the speed, flex, and drip offered by Psycho today. Psycho has won at every level in the hands of skilled players like Daymon Dennis and Bagin’ Bill Hadley. They are great bags when conditions get slow and when moisture starts to affect the game.
For the 2026 season: we found a new fabric with the same play characteristics and speeds, making the dots unnecessary for Psycho. This means players can get the same great in-hand feel found in the original bag without needing to put a ton of throws in to wear in the control dots perfectly. The bag retains the same drip and flex making it a hole magnet and causing opponents to go nuts as bags creep their way back into the hole when others would stay up. Size / Weight
The Psycho makes no changes to it’s size or weight for 2026. This bag is in the standard Ultra template. This gives the bag a loose feel when broken in. The new slow side has a little tactile feel that will wear in nicely and settle into the 7 range. XTR fill is used giving the bag a forgiveness that works well with the faster speeds found on booth sides of our Psycho bean bags.
