Winning
Jake Brannon over the ACL wrote an awesome feature on Devon located here: Devon Harbaugh. With changes to the structure of the Pro Division, the Opens now are now divided into Pro/Elite and Amateur tiers. The Pro/Elite events count towards Pro Standings. It all adds up to Harbaugh’s first ACL Pro Title.
Up until now there have been questions about Devon and getting over the hump. His struggles have been well documented. He found himself on several broadcasts in 2024 but failed to reach his goal. What we saw in 2024 though was a player who had gotten close but who had not won an Open. Once he broke through in 2023-24, He snagged 3 Open Singles and was a Bracket winner in several other Singles and Doubles events. With this big win to start the 2024-25 season, we hope to see him continue that momentum and dominate like we know he can.
About Devon Harbaugh
Coming back to Team Ultra for year 2, Devon enters his 6th Pro Season with the ACL. He finished 2024-25 in 6th place out of 256 of cornhole’s best players in the nation. In Doubles he was 4th overall. For 2024-25 Harbaugh will partner with returning Team Ultra player and reigning MVP & Rookie of the Year, Jeremiah Ellis. This team will combine 2 of cornhole’s brightest stars. The expectations are high but Devon is use to rising to expectations. In Singles Devon like the Ultra Viper-X cornhole bags. The slow-side features a herringbone carpet that gives Devon ultimate control. He can use it to block, cut, roll and airmail with precision. Devon tossed Viper-X to a 10.22ppr in Pro Singles in 2023-24.
